Install CarTube on iPhone
Set up CarTube on iOS and start streaming YouTube through CarPlay in a few minutes — no jailbreak required.
Before you start
CarTube's free installer covers iOS 8 through iOS 15.7.7 — it uses TrollStore to sideload without a jailbreak. On iOS 16 or newer, CarTube itself won't install; check the compatibility page for what actually works on your version.
Installation steps
- Open wheelpal.cartube.app on your iPhone — this is the official install page for CarTube.
- Tap Install and allow the configuration profile when prompted.
- Open Settings, tap the Profile Downloaded banner, then Install, and enter your passcode.
- Open CarTube once on your phone before connecting to your car.
- Plug in or pair your iPhone with CarPlay — CarTube appears on the home screen.
Troubleshooting
If CarTube doesn't appear in CarPlay after setup, check that your iOS version is on the supported list and that CarPlay restrictions are enabled for third-party apps in Settings.
